FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of analytical chemistry, namely to indicator compositions for express-detection of presence of oxidants by indication on surfaces. Indicator composition contains potassium iodide, starch, glycerol, acetic acid, sodium acetate trihydrate and distilled water with the following component content, wt %: potassium iodide - 0.1-0.4; starch - 0.1-0.3; glycerol - 5-20; acetic acid - 0.3-1.5; sodium acetate trihydrate - 0.4-3; distilled water - to 100; as starch composition contains starch, preliminarily processed by heating to temperature 190°C in glycerol for 0.5 hour with periodical sampling for dissolution in cold water until absence of starch sedimentation.

EFFECT: increase of sensitivity, indication visualisation and application reliability are achieved.
