FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: production of the plate from thermally hardened Al-Zn-Mg-Cu system aluminium alloy comprises the steps that follow. Flat ingot is cast and annealed. Said ingot is machined and subjected to homogenizing annealing. Said ingot is subjected to preliminary ingot to get the plate to be subjected to intermediate annealing of the plate. Said plate is finally rolled and quenched. Stretch flattening is performed for removal of residual quenching strains and the plate is subjected to artificial ageing. Note here that after homogenizing annealing said ingot is subjected to deformation by preliminary hot rolling. Thereafter, said plate is subjected to intermediate annealing and, then, to final hot rolling.

EFFECT: more homogeneous structure, hardenability, higher level of strength properties scatter, eg ductility, fracture toughness and corrosion resistance.
