SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular to a method for producing massive semi-products from deformable aluminum alloys based on the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu system, intended for the manufacture of large-sized details with a complex shape, such as ring frames, fittings, and beams, for use in the aerospace, shipbuilding, automotive and machine-building industries. The method for producing large-sized semi-products from alloys based on the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu system includes ingot casting, homogenization, cooling, heating the ingot to the deformation temperature, plastic deformation, cooling to a temperature of 20-200 ºC, preliminary correction at a temperature of 20-200 ºC with a residual deformation of up to 5%, heating to the hardening temperature, keeping, cooling in water or in an aqueous solution of the polymer, final correction of semi-products, by stretching with a residual deformation of 1-3% or by compression with a residual deformation of 1.5-5%, and subsequent aging according to the step mode in the temperature range of 90-190 ºC.

EFFECT: method of manufacturing massive semi-products allows manufacturing semi-products with a reduced level of residual stresses and warpage, with homogeneous characteristics on the thickness of the semi-product at high values of strength, fracturing viscosity and corrosion resistance.
