FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of high-energy materials (HEM) and can be used for determination of HEM ignition time delay by radiant heat flux. Claimed process consists in direct measurement of HEM ignition delay time, the HEM flow being fed to its surface via convex lens displacing at preset rate relative to the specimen. Dependence of heat flux on time is calculated by algebraic formulae for preset geometrical parameters of the optical system.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of ignition time delay.
