FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: elastic coupling contains elastic chamber in form of toroidal shell filled with resilient medium, and installed in cone planes of the end areas of the connected shafts with possibility of relative movements in axial direction. It has control device by inclusion of the pressure source connected with shaft cavities. The toroidal shell with toroid internal walls spiral twisted around the central axis of shell. As filler of the toroidal shell the two-layer toroidal insert is used, its external layer is made elastically compressed, and internal layer is made tubular and rigid, forming the internal non-deforming central hole of the insert, which diameter exceed diameter of spiral twisted internal walls of the toroidal shell. All surface of double-layer insert is coated with antifriction lubricant.
