FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: elastic coupling comprises an elastic chamber in the form of a toroidal shell with operating filler, it is able of movement in axial direction in conical chambers of end parts of the shafts being coupled, as well as an activation control unit in the form of a pressure source connected to the cavities of the shafts. The filler of the toroidal shell is made as a resilient toroidal insert with grease serving as antifriction coating. The inner insert diameter is equal to the diameter of the inner toroidal shell walls twisted in a bundle.
EFFECT: increased reliability of device operation.
