FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in compliance with the first version, claimed device comprises the housing, control unit, power supply, transmitter with transmitting antenna arranged in said housing, set of receivers with receiving antennas in the same housing. The transmitter generates the trapezoidal signal generated at control over switching gates connected in bridge circuit. In compliance with the second version, the trapezoidal signal is generated at control over switching gates connected in semi-bridge circuit. The transmitter generates the periodic trapezoidal signal. The generator operating tunable frequency is defined as the first harmonic of said periodic trapezoidal signal.

EFFECT: expanded range of data on inhomogeneity of the rock, tunable frequency of emitted signal, lower parasitic losses of power, decreased drift of operating parameters, simplified calibration.
