FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: rotation in opposite directions of the main grinding wheel and dressing roller by different drives is performed. The dressing roller drive is additional grinding wheel with friction coefficient S = 0.5-0.7, by it the dressing roller is pressed to the main grinding wheel. Prior to rotation beginning the axle of the additional grinding wheel is rotated relatively to the axle of the main grinding wheel by angle α in vertical direction. During dressing the rotation speed of the additional grinding wheel is changed to regulate rotation speed of the dressing roller, as well the angle of rotation of the axle of the additional grinding wheel is changed to control speed of longitudinal movement of the dressing roller.
EFFECT: improved quality of dressing, and simplified dressing process.
