FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: neutralisation of acids is carried out in two steps: the first step includes primary neutralisation of acids, primarily sulphuric acid, on an assembly consisting of three filters with a fixed anion-exchange resin layer, said filters operating on a "carousel" scheme, wherein neutralisation of acids is carried out on two series-connected filters, a third filter being regenerated at that time; at the second step the acid remaining in the decomposition reaction mass is neutralised with aqueous alkali solution.
EFFECT: reduced content of salts in the decomposition reaction mass before fractionation thereof and therefore reduced amount of salts in the phenol resin, high output and improved quality of the end product.
