FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: claimed system (100) with device (102) running on two or more wheels (w1-w4) on track composed by rails (112, 114) has two opposite sides (e1, e2) staying on tow or more wheels (w1-w4). Device (102) comprises detectors (d1-d4), at least one per every side of device (e1, e2) located in known spatial positional relationship with wheel (w1-w4). Said detectors generate the signal for control unit (140) composed of measured crosswise spacing of the wheel specific part from rail (112, 114). Signals received from detectors (d1-d4) are related with coordinate data describing a definite position over the track length whereat measured is the crosswise spacing of the wheel (w1-w4) specific part from rail (112, 114). Signals received from detectors (d1-d4) related with spatial positional relationship with wheel (w1-w4) on different sides (e1, e2) of device (102) are used to generate the attribute representing the current dimensional consistency of device (102) and the track. Invention discloses also the control over rails compatibility and computer.
