FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: hepatic cirrhosis in rabbits is simulated by subcutaneous administration of tetrachlorocarbon. The saturation is measured in left, inferior and right edges of a greater omentum. If the saturation is 87-97%, the greater omentum is incised in 3-6 flaps. Each flap is supposed to comprise two omental arteries anastomosing together. Canals 7.0 to 10.0 cm long spaced 2.0-3.0 cm from each other are formed on a diaphragm surface at a depth of 0.5 cm to 1.0 cm. The incised segments of the greater omentum are brought through a hepatic tissue.
EFFECT: method enables unloading the portal blood flow in hepatic cirrhosis with compensated and decompensated portal hypertension syndrome by forming vascular collaterals of the liver and greater omentum.
