FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions concerns an oral care composition and a method for using it. The presented composition contains an effective amount of a primary amino acid that is arginine in the free form or in the form of salt; and from 0.1 to 15 wt % of water-soluble strontium salt, wherein the water-soluble strontium salt is specified in strontium acetate, strontium chloride, strontium nitrate, strontium lactate, strontium bromide, and a combination of the two or more from the mentioned above. What is also presented is a method for promoting general health, which involves applying an effective amount of the above composition on an individual's oral surface.
EFFECT: combination of the above strontium salt and arginine provides the composition properties effective to stimulate re-mineralisation, recovery of early caries lesions and improvement of general oral health.
