FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method to monitor movement of an object from magnetic material includes use of permanent magnet, which is installed as fixed. At the same time interaction between at least one magnetically controlled contact and the permanent magnetic field is carried out in the plane located in parallel to the axis of the magnet, and at least one magnetically controlled contact is placed so that its sensitive zone is in the permanent magnetic field, providing for access of the object of magnetic material to permanent magnetic field at least in one of planes located at the side of magnet poles.

EFFECT: increased reliability of magnetic material object position positioning and distance to it by contact-free method.
