FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to automatic determination of values in natural language, particularly to methods and systems for processing natural language, processing texts and text arrays in natural language. The present invention provides a method of performing analysis of text data, as well as a system for performing analysis of text data and a nonvolatile computer-readable data medium. The method disclosed in the present invention includes obtaining text data; performing deep syntax-semantic analysis of the text data; extracting substance and facts from the text data based on the results of deep syntax-semantic analysis, which includes extracting tonalities using a tonal dictionary constructed using a semantic hierarchy. The method employs a method of analysing tonality at the substance and aspect level, or in other words directed analysis of tonality of text data. The advantage of directed tonality analysis is that the method enables to detect not only the tonality itself (negative, positive, etc.), but both the object and the subject of the tonality.
