FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: fastening device for fixation of a front pad to a drawer, in particular, to the drawer side wall, including an element of furniture fittings previously mounted on the front pad. This element of furniture fittings has a vertical wall distant from the front pad and a finger passing across the vertical wall, and a catching device matched with the drawer. This catching device, when the element of furniture fittings is pulled in, automatically holds it, and the catching device has a movable, spring-loaded catching element, which may be activated with the help of a finger and holds the finger. This catching element may move along a guide plate. There is a deflecting element provided on the guide plate facing the front pad, opposite to the element of furniture fittings previously mounted in the front pad. This deflecting element is made in the form of a ledge protruding aside, preferably in the form of a bulge.
