SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processes for heat treatment of grain material and can be used in the agro-industrial sector when processing grain into flour or groats. A method for automatic control of grain heating includes feeding grain into a closed volume of an electrical grain heating apparatus; controlled electrical heating of grain passing through the closed volume of the electrical grain heating apparatus in which there are heating elements arranged in tiers in a chequered manner, said heating elements being in the form of flat electrical heaters, and unloading grain from the heating area upon achieving acceptable grain temperature values in the closed volume of the electrical grain heating apparatus, wherein at the grain input of the closed volume of the electrical grain heating apparatus, a grain reserve is created by a storage hopper and flow therein is controlled; temperature of the grain is further measured at the grain input of the closed volume of the electrical grain heating apparatus and on the surface of each flat electrical heater, and the unloading of grain from the closed volume of the electrical grain heating apparatus is carried out taking into account all controlled parameters in two steps, at the first step using distributor-batcher to feed grain into an unloading auger, and at the second step unloading the grain from the unloading auger after filling thereof.

EFFECT: reduced specific power consumption for heating grain, reduced material consumption of the design, high efficiency and operational reliability thereof.
