FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for application of inter-crystallite corrosion damage on component from aluminium alloy, in which component is processed by application on it of anode current in sodium chloride-containing water electrolyte. Component is processed in water electrolyte, which contains 0.1-10 wt % of sodium sulphate and 0.1-1 wt % of sodium chloride, or in potentiostatic mode with potential of anode solution, corresponding to value, established at anode current density 0.005-0.05 A/cm2, applied on material of processed component, with preliminary processing of component by application on it of anode current in potentiostatic mode under more positive potential of anode solution than mentioned above or in galvanostatic mode with density of anode current 0.005-0.05 A/cm2.
EFFECT: reduction of test time for between-crystallite corrosion of aluminium alloy with reduction of medium aggressiveness at time of application of corrosion damage with application of anode polarisation, as well as provision of possibility to carry out tests on application of corrosion damage of inter-crystallite character on aluminium alloys under combined influence of fatigue loads and corrosion medium.
