FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises the study of basic parameters of female generative sphere of Scotch pine, that characterize the morphogenesis of cones and their seed production. The data obtained are analysed in comparison with the same parameters determined in a clean area. And the selected basic parameters are optimized by the formation of two groups of attributes, dimensional and calculated, the numerical values of the attributes are determined. And the changes in the absolute values of the parameters obtained from the analysis are taken into account when determining the quality of the female generative sphere of the pine. The group of dimensional attributes includes: the cone weight, its length and the average diameter, the weight of seed scales, the total amount of seed scales, the number of seed scales of the fertile tie, the number of full-grain seeds, the number of empty seeds. The group the calculated attributes includes: the cone shape coefficient, the estimated weight of 1000 seeds.
EFFECT: method enables to increase the accuracy of assessing the quality of the state of generative sphere of a pine taking into account the impact of factors of the natural environment.
