FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a protective band structure made in the form of a truncated cone to damage ice with bending down, on the contact surface of which there are pyramidal ledges, which create local concentrators of ice damage in the ice field. Angles of base tops near upper pyramidal ledges are more than angles of base tops of the lower pyramidal ledges. The protective band structure belts the support along height only at the level of the ice belt.
EFFECT: invention provides for protection of supports of stationary marine engineering structures against external ice pressure by means of considerable reduction of global ice loads.
