FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes placing at the upper butt end of the tested well construction unit of sensors of acoustic pulse transmitter and receiver, which are coupled acoustically to the above unit, emitting of acoustic pulses and recording of secondary signals. Upon emitting and recording of acoustic pulses the sensors of transmitter and receiver are moved in sequence each 90-60° in circumferential direction of the tested construction unit in the well, they are mounted diametrically opposed to each other, sounding acoustic pulses are generated at two frequencies of 2 kHz and 5 kHz, the reflected signal is recorded at two 3T and 5T-periods and 4-6 measurements are performed in circumferential direction, interpretation of test results are made by summing up data received using two operating frequencies of 2 kHz and 5 kHz and two periods 3T and 5T, 360° sweep is plotted at contact surface of the well construction element of column-cement with received data of cement cohesion with the column along the whole perimeter of the well and identification of vertical defects in cement.

EFFECT: improved efficiency for determination of cement quality for the well construction units.
