SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an actuator for the flap door of the furniture item, having an actuating lever mounted with the ability of rotation between a closed position and an open position, for moving the flap door, a spring device for influencing the actuating lever, and a transmission mechanism for transmitting the force of the spring device to the actuating lever. The actuator (4) for the flap door (3) of the furniture item (1), having the actuating lever (6) mounted with the ability of rotation between the closed position and the open position, for movement of the flap door (3), the spring device (9) for influencing the actuating lever (6), and the transmission mechanism (11) for transmitting the force of the spring device (9) to the actuating lever (6). The reversing mechanism (26) is provided, by which the transmission mechanism (11) can be rearranged between the working positions (A, B). In the first working position (A), the spring device (9) influences on the actuating lever (6) in the open position immediately preceding the closed position with the closing force in the direction of the closed position. In the second working position (B) the spring device (9) in the above immediately preceding open position of the actuating lever (6) creates a force acting in the direction of the open position. (Fig. 4b) The transmission mechanism has two working positions, which a person can choose freely by manual operation using the reversing mechanism.
