METHOD OF ESTIMATION OF FRICTION INTERACTION OF ELEMENTS OF TWISTED ITEMS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G01N19/02

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: by one end the item is fixedly secured, and at side of free end the axial force acts, it is applied simultaneously to all elements of the item, in series the reference and tested items of the same length and length exceeding twisting pitch are tested, wherein the additional force is applied in form of torque, and items are rotated around the vertical axis towards twisting by same angle, ensuring sliding friction mode between the elements, then force is removed, free return-torsion oscillation are recorded, logarithmic decrements of dampening are determined for both cases, by their ratio the friction interaction between the elements of the compared twisted is estimated.

EFFECT: qualitative estimation of friction interaction of elements of the twisted items upon assurance of high accuracy and authenticity of study, increased authenticity of test analysis of the friction interaction of elements of the twisted items.
