FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in nonferrous metallurgy. Claimed process comprises the thermal treatment and interaction with hydrochloric acid solution to isolate the insoluble cake. Produced solution is purified and processed to get aluminium oxide and recovered by hydrochloric acid. Stock thermal treatment consists in sintering in the mix of sodium-bearing reagent. Produced cake is processed with hydrochloric acid solution with concentration of 180-250 g/dm3 in two steps at L:S ratio of (0.5-0.7):1 and temperature of 120-200°C at the first step. At second step, this is done at L:S of (3.3-3.5):1 and temperature not higher than of the solution boiling point.
EFFECT: higher yield of aluminium and intensity of leaching, simplified process, extraction of silica as pure amorphous highly dispersed silica.
