FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: aluminosilicate material is sintered with sodium carbonate and caustic soda. The obtained sinter is leached with a chloride solution. The obtained pulp is separated, thereby obtaining chloride solution and solid residue. Metals which are more electropositive than aluminium are extracted from the solution in an electrolytic cell with separation of anode and cathode space and with cathode current density of not less than 500 A/m2. The purified chloride solution undergoes thermal treatment, obtaining a product which contains aluminium and sodium oxides and a solution of hydrochloric acid. The solid residue from leaching is dissolved in an alkaline solution, and the obtained solution is subjected to carbonisation, obtaining a solution of sodium carbonate and a residue of amorphous silica. The chloride solution from which metals more electropositive than aluminium are removed undergoes thermal treatment with evaporation of the solution and obtaining aluminium chloride hexahydrate at the first stage, its calcination at 400 to 600°C thereby obtaining a product which contains aluminium and sodium oxides at the second stage and condensation of solution of hydrochloric acid from thermal treatment gases. Initial aluminosilicate material is pretreated with a solution of hydrochloric acid, after which the solution is separated from solid residue, which is washed with water and taken for sintering, and the chloride solution is processed, thereby obtaining an iron-containing product.
EFFECT: increased aluminium extraction ratio in the solution during leaching, extraction of silica in form of a finished product, reduced consumption of reagents and energy consumption during sintering.
