SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) wireless communication systems operating in the 1 GHz and lower frequency bands. A physical layer logic circuit may implement orthogonal frequency division multiplexing symbols encoded with 32 subcarriers such as twenty data subcarriers, four pilot subcarriers, seven guard subcarriers, and one direct current (DC) subcarrier. Many embodiments may transform the OFDM symbols between frequency and time domains with a 32-point, fast Fourier transform or inverse fast Fourier transform. Some embodiments may up-convert and transmit a communication signal with the OFDM symbols at 1 MHz. Further embodiments may receive and detect a communication signal with the OFDM symbols at 1 MHz.
EFFECT: high transmission channel capacity.
