SUBSTANCE: proposed method for transmitting a broadcast signal comprises: encoding service data; interleaving the encoded service data; displaying the interleaved service data in a constellation by using non-uniform modulation; encoding the signaling data and padding the zeros of the encoded signaling data; encoding the received signaling data with a Low Density Parity Check (LDPC); mapping the LDPC-coded signaling data in constellation by using non-uniform modulation; arranging a frame of at least one signal frame including the mapped service data and the mapped signaling data; modulation of data in at least one signal frame by orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) method; and transmitting the broadcast signal including the modulated data.
EFFECT: increased signal transmission and reception efficiency.
