SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly dentistry, and concerns treating acute pulpitis. The method involves giving infiltration anaesthesia, preparing a decay cavity, processing with 3% hydrogen peroxide and applying a herbal medicinal product under a temporary filling to be thereafter replaced by a permanent one. The medicinal product represents an ointment of the following composition: argan oil or sunflower oil - 66.0 gram; yellow wax - 22.0 gram; 70% marigold infusion - 5.0 ml; Japanese sophora infusion - 6.0 ml; ecdysterone - 0.05 gram; clove essence - 1 ml. The ointment is produced as follows. Sunflower or argan oil and yellow wax are heated in a water bath until the wax melts. The produced base is added with marigold infusion 5 ml and sophora infusion 6 ml with pre-dissolved ecdysterone 0.05 gram. The mixture is emulsified thoroughly, added with clove essence 1.0 ml and homogenised.

EFFECT: using produced medicinal product in the method ensures the pronounced reparative, anti-inflammatory, odontotropic action, and preserves these effects over a long period of time.
