SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for sharing settings based on one or more social network connections. The apparatus comprises a processor and memory which stores a computer program code, upon execution of which the apparatus performs at least the detection of one or more connection settings and the associated data of at least one access point. The computer program code may also initiate provision, by the apparatus, of connection settings and associated data for inclusion thereof into at least one user profile. The profile may be associated with a social network service, which defines one or more relationships between one or more specified friends of the user. The computer program code may also initiate provision, by the apparatus, of connection parameters and associated data to at least one user device or one or more devices of friends of the user. Related methods and computer program products are also provided.
