WIPE APPLICABLE WITH BACTERICIDAL SOLUTION Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A47L13/17

Abstract RU 2574959 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: antimicrobial wipe, which contains a polymer coating consisting of a synergetic combination of ingredients in order to provide controlled release of the antimicrobial agent and good antimicrobial efficacy. One of the ingredients is a high-molecular polyamidoamine agent controlling antimicrobial agent release. By reason of its polycationic nature, the agent controlling antimicrobial agent release is able to attach to a wet wipe, which generally consists of fibres with a negative surface charge (e.g. of cellulose fibres). The agent controlling antimicrobial agent release may be applied in the binding centres on the wipe and inhibit antimicrobial agent attachment that promotes supplying it into a bactericidal solution for microbial de-contamination of the desired surface. Intensifying the attachment of the agent controlling antimicrobial agent release to the wipe is ensured by cross-linking of polyamide with its molecular mass supposed to be increased that makes it possible to form a structure mesh, which is physically attached to the wet wipe and blocks the antimicrobial agent attachment thereto. Besides, polyamidoamine is amidated so it contains secondary and/or tertiary amides. The polymer coating also contains an agent modifying a microbial cell membrane permeability to increase the efficacy of the antimicrobial agent when in use. More specifically, the polycationic materials are especially suitable for increasing a cell surface permeability with no negative effect on a polyamidoamine ability to release the antimicrobial agent inside the wipe.

EFFECT: higher efficacy of the antimicrobial agent when in use.
