FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for extractive separation of molybdenum from radioactive solutions includes its processing with extractant in presence of complexing agent in form of hydroxamic acids, its further re-extraction and extractant regeneration by alkaline treatment. Molybdenum re-extraction is carried out by oxidative reagent with destruction of hydroxamic acids. Extractant, treated with alkaline reagent, is passed through sorbent. As oxidative reagent used are reagents, which, when heated, form gaseous products: solutions of nitric acid, chlorine, bromine or nitrogen dioxide, or ammonium nitrite solution. As sorbent for regeneration of extractant after alkaline washing used is copper (I) oxide in mixture with powder of metal copper or salt of metals from the series: Ag, Pb, Hg, Bi, Cu, applied on porous carrier.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain re-extractant of molybdenum, purified from radioiodine more than 10-fold, free of metal admixtures, with cyclic application of extractant.
