FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: direct-current electric arc plasmatron for waste plasma-processing plants includes coaxial cylindrical hollow water-cooled electrodes (anode and cathode) designed for the vortex delivery of an orifice gas into a gap between the anode and cathode via a nozzle made of an insulating heat-resistant material, which is coaxial with the anode and cathode by openings for gas delivery, at that openings are made in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the electrodes tangentially to the inner surface of the nozzle. The anode has an inner diameter of the channel da, length of the channel la from 4·da up to 12·da. The cathode is made as a cup with an inner diameter dc from da up to 2·da and depth lc from dc up to 3·dc. An inner diameter of the nozzle di varies from 2·dc up to 2,5·dc, wall thickness hw of the nozzle, wherein gas supply openings are made in a quantity of 4 - 12, varies from 0.2·dc up to 0.4·dc, the openings in the nozzle are made with the diameter dh from 0.08·da up to 0.12·da and made evenly placed in the circumferential direction of the nozzle. The anode of the plasmatron includes a coaxial annular permanent magnet with the inductivity of a magnetic field at the butt end of the anode from 0.1 up to 0.4 T.
EFFECT: increased service life of the plasmatron and expanded range of its operating performance.
