SUBSTANCE: direct-current electric arc plasmatron for waste plasma-processing plants includes coaxial cylindrical hollow water-cooled electrodes (anode and cathode) designed for the vortex delivery of an orifice gas into a gap between the anode and cathode via a nozzle made of an insulating heat-resistant material, which is coaxial with the anode and cathode by openings for gas delivery, at that openings are made in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the electrodes tangentially to the inner surface of the nozzle. The anode has an inner diameter of the channel d_a, length of the channel l_a from 4·d_a up to 12·d_a. The cathode is made as a cup with an inner diameter d_c from d_a up to 2·d_a and depth l_c from d_c up to 3·d_c. An inner diameter of the nozzle d_i varies from 2·d_c up to 2,5·d_c, wall thickness h_w of the nozzle, wherein gas supply openings are made in a quantity of 4 - 12, varies from 0.2·d_c up to 0.4·d_c, the openings in the nozzle are made with the diameter d_h from 0.08·d_a up to 0.12·d_a and made evenly placed in the circumferential direction of the nozzle. The anode of the plasmatron includes a coaxial annular permanent magnet with the inductivity of a magnetic field at the butt end of the anode from 0.1 up to 0.4 T.

EFFECT: increased service life of the plasmatron and expanded range of its operating performance.
