FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to treatment of industrial liquid and solid wastes in thermal plasma. This process is implemented in reaction volume that comprises several zones including gasification chamber, glass-like slag compound formation zone and melting chamber. Wastes are fed to reaction volume top section and heated by plasma jets of arc plasmatrons exploiting the working gas. Said plasmatrons are located in at least one of said zones to produce pyrogas and glass-like slag compound. Pyrogas is derived and said glass-like slag compound is drained from the melting chamber bottom section. This method differs from known methods on that glass-like slag compound formation zone process comprises focusing of plasma jets produced by plasmatrons to create thermal nucleus in one area located at the glass-like slag compound formation zone centre to get sublimated dust consisting of mineral particles and arranged between gasification chamber and glass-like slag compound formation zone. Initial wastes are directed to thermal nucleus area while pyrogas is derived by contracting the gas flow and expanding it to the rate of sublimated dust particle settling, effective diameter of said particles making less than 100 mcm.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of gasification of wastes.
