FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: electric-centrifugal pump unit comprises interconnected electric-centrifugal pump and submersible motor with electric cable adjoining the pimp case and thermal protector for submersible motor made as supports placed between the pump case and electric cable. The supports are designed to fix position of the electrical cable in regard to the pump case with a gap between the pump case and cable and to ensure circulation of the well fluid in the gap between the pump case and cable. At places of their contact with the pump case the support ends are made with potential small area of contact with the pump case.

EFFECT: prevented overheating of current lead of the submersible motor from heat flow coming through supply electric cable passing along the pump case, which is overheated at transfer of strongly gasified fluids by the centrifugal pump, increase in overhaul period for the electric-centrifugal pump unit, improved functioning efficiency of the electric-centrifugal pump unit and reduced oil losses at its extraction from deep and super-deep wells.
