FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: metal zirconium is produced from water suspension of ore particles containing the zirconium compounds. Claimed process comprises the generation in the stock bulk of the physical trapezoidal fields their intensity making 1.1·105 - 1.5·105 A/m. Zirconium recovery is performed at the fed of gas jets feed to the stock plies, said jets consisting of compressed air and carbon as the reducing agent contained in the composition of gases. Produced metal is shaped to a circular column-like monocrystal wholly made of zirconium. Invention proposes also the device to this end.

EFFECT: sufficient purity of product produced from ore stock directly.
