SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for reversal of internal combustion engines. Invention means that the control system connects a shaft of reversing starter mechanism to engine crank and rotates it in preset direction. Then, at compression stroke, with closed gas-distributing valves at the moment when pressure above the piston is increased to value providing energy release during fuel combustion sufficient to change the direction of piston movement on the opposite direction, control system disconnects the shaft of reversing mechanism from crank, and using the nozzle injects fuel into combustion chamber. Pressure of combustion products reverse the piston movement to the opposite one. Timing valve pneumatic drive system provides the sequence of opening and closing of gas-distributing valves and operation of the fuel nozzle according to the pre-set direction of the crank rotation.
EFFECT: higher reliability of reverse system.
