FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial acoustics. This is achieved by that in single-piece sound absorber with a sound reflecting volumetric element, consisting of a rigid frame, suspended by hooks on ropes from ceiling of an industrial building located inside frame with sound absorbing element, wherein frame is made in form of a rectangular parallelepiped with dimensions of ribs L×H×B, ratio of which lies in an optimum range of values L:H:B = 2:1:0.5, and sound absorbing element is a combination of a multilayer sound absorbing structure composed of symmetrically arranged perforated walls, between which there are three layers: a core layer of a reflecting material, complex profiles of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons allowing reflection of incident in all directions sound waves, and symmetrically adjoining sound absorbing layers of materials of different densities, wherein each of perforated wall has following parameters perforations: diameter of holes - 3÷7 mm, percentage of perforations 10 %÷15 %, and sound absorbing material used is mineral wool slabs of basalt-based types “Rockwool”, or mineral wool type “URSA” or basalt wool type P-75, or glass wool with glass felt lining, wherein sound absorbing element over its entire surface is lined with an acoustically transparent material, for example E3-100 type glass fibre, or “poviden” type polymer.

EFFECT: technical result is high efficiency of noise suppression at high frequencies by introduction in a sound absorbing element located inside shells of a perforated cylindrical bushing of sound reflecting layers, which perform soundproofing function at high frequencies.
