FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microstrip antennae. The antenna includes a rectangular dielectric substrate; a radiating panel which is placed on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate; a connecting panel on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate, which withdraws from the edge of the dielectric substrate and ends at a given distance from the radiating panel; a metal support on the lower surface of the dielectric substrate, which extends from the edge of the lower surface of the dielectric plate downwards to the ground; and an air layer of a given thickness formed between the lower surface of the dielectric substrate and the ground.
EFFECT: improved broadband microstrip antenna directivity while maintaining relatively small dimensions thereof.
