SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engineering, particularly, to aircraft towing appliances. Adapter assembly for coupling with the aircraft undercarriage has the first and second adapters for different types of undercarriages to replace the device for selective positioning of the first or second adapter. Claimed towing appliance is meant for ground displacement of aircraft of various types. It includes the abode described adapter assembly wherein the adapters to be coupled with the undercarriage differ. Note here that the undercarriage is positioned so that mechanical load can be applied thereto by turning said adapter to the working position for coupling with appropriate undercarriage.
