SUBSTANCE: subject of the invention is kettle (1) having container (3), cover (5) and locking mechanism of lid (5) on container (3) comprising first locking means (11) arranged on container (3) and counter second locking means (12) mounted on cover (5) being movable relative thereto from a position blocking lid (5), wherein second locking means (12) interact with said first locking means (11) in the unlocked position, wherein cap (5) is released and said locking mechanism includes element (20) provided on cover (5) controlling said second locking means (12).
EFFECT: in accordance with the invention, when second locking means (12) are in locked position, control element (20) is retracted into the cover, while second locking means (12) are in the unlocked position, control element (20) protrudes above lid (5) forming a gripping member.
