FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to obstetrics. Method includes measurement using magnetic resonance imaging direct entrance plane size in a small basin and largest transverse dimension of entrance plane in pelvis with subsequent calculation coefficient (K%) according to formula: K% = 100 %·(L2-L1)/L1, where L1 is length of direct size of entrance plane in pelvis; L2 is length of longest transverse dimension of entrance plane in pelvis. For values of coefficient K% 7.6-8.8 %, predicting normal during childbirth, and for K% 11.5-14.7 % predicting complication of childbirth because of clinically narrow pelvis.
EFFECT: method enables to optimise approach of delivery of pregnant women, before onset of said complication during delivery.
