FIELD: obstetrics. SUBSTANCE: idea of new method resides in determining relationship between dimensions of real conjugate of small pelvis and biparental dimension of head of fetus using following equation: K = T/A, wherein K represents coefficient, T stands for dimension of real conjugate of small pelvis, and A denotes biparental dimension of fetus head, and frequency of high-amplitude contractions of uterus, with K being greater than 1.14. In case of increasing frequency of high-amplitude contractions of uterus, new method prescribes prognosticating spontaneous progress of labor. With K lower than 1.14 and in case of no increase in frequency of high-amplitude contractions of uterus, disclosed method prescribes operative mode of conducting labor. EFFECT: higher accuracy.
