FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, and more particularly to methods for recycling unmeasured pipe ends, preferably stainless steel. Method includes the initial cutting of pipe into measured and unmeasured segments. Thus unmeasured sections are further cut into blanks of a certain length. Obtained work pieces are subjected to flattening to obtain flat profile of double blank square in plan. Then the product obtained from dual-type glass preform or single preform obtained by dividing the double workpiece.
EFFECT: provides management of waste in the form of off-gauge lengths of pipe.
