FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for bimetal adapters with outer layer made up of plastic material that features lower plasticity. Billet represents a bimetal sheet with different-plasticity layers. Disk billet is produced from said sheet. Said billet is used to produce cylindrical cup during multi-job forging-drawing. Cup is subjected to machining to produce adapter. Prior to forming-drawing, disk billet outer layer made from lower plasticity material has its central part removed. Peripheral part of billet inner layer with higher plasticity is removed.
EFFECT: reduced number of jobs and drawing force, and higher quality of finished product.
