FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly to design, production and operation of internal combustion engines. Piston seal comprises two compression rings (3) and (7), between which there is expansion ring (5) installed in piston groove (4), expansion ring (5) with conical working part and fixing the cylindrical part is installed between compression rings (3) and (7) so that external conical part of expansion ring (5) contacts with inclined surfaces on the lower end of upper ring (3) and upper end of lower ring (7) and inner cylindrical part of the expanding ring is located in annular groove (6), made in the bottom of piston groove (4).
EFFECT: proposed design of the piston device virtually eliminates gas dynamic losses, provides the effective heat exchange between superheated piston head (2) and cooled cylinder (1), improves the compression, power and service life of engine, reduces consumption of fuel and oil, improves economic and ecological indices.
