FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of alumina from nepheline or bauxite raw material by sintering. Method for desiliconisation of aluminate solutions includes treatment of solutions of calcium-containing reagent in batteries, consisting of series-connected reactors with mixers. Obtained suspension is mixed in reactors at temperature of 85-95°C for several hours, condensed and filtered. Treatment of solutions of calcium-containing reagent is divided into at least three parts. Each part is introduced simultaneously and continuously in a separate reactor entering battery. Battery consists of at least three series-connected reactors with mixers. First reactor of battery is a large portion of calcium-containing reagent or calcium-containing reagent is added in equal parts in each reactor battery. Calcium-containing reactant used can be calcium hydrocarboaluminate.
EFFECT: invention reduces consumption of calcium-containing reagent for desiliconisation of more than 30 % with simultaneous increase of silicon modulus of aluminate solution.
