FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to alumina production, in particular aluminate solutions desiliconisation during alumina production out of high-silicon aluminium raw material. Method of aluminate solutions desiliconisation means production of alumino-calcic element, two-stage desiliconisation of aluminate-alkali solutions with use of the produced alumino-calcic element as intensifying additive, concentration and filtration of desiliconisation products, clearing of desiliconised solution, as per the invention the said alumino-calcic element production is made by natural and/or artificial calcium carbonate treatment by aluminate-alkali solution at mole ratio CaO:Al2O3 = 1.0÷2.0.
EFFECT: invention reduces power consumption, recycles production wastes of calcium carbonate, reduces consumption of natural resources and discharges of carbon dioxide to atmosphere, production of high quality alumina "Г"-00, and increases technical and economic parameters of the alumina production out of high-silicon raw material.
