FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to measuring and recording devices. Present invention consists in that method of determining dimensions of human blood vessel wall of measured blood vessel is punctured through thin curved needle, then needle is turned by 90° so that bent straight tip is located along inner vessel wall along its axis and bent back end of needle is inserted into socket of holder, providing for arrangement of direct middle portion of needle along side surface of spindle micrometer along its axis and perpendicular to axis of the blood vessel; after that moving spindle micrometer to contact with its end outer surface of measured blood vessel, and on indicator micrometer displayed value of wall thickness of measured blood vessel, using electronic micrometer tuned so that when needle is fixed in holder without blood vessel and spindle with its end surface touches needle tip is bent, readings of micrometer equal to zero, and micrometer has permanent low measuring force on ratchet drum with convergence of jaws of micrometer and non-rotating spindle. Alternatively, using micrometer with a known method, outer diameter of blood vessel is measured, and with disclosed method - thickness of its walls; further, size of inner diameter of blood vessel is calculated as difference between value of outer diameter of vessel and double thickness of its wall. Device for determining dimensions of human blood vessel comprises electronic micrometer (12), having low measuring force on the ratchet drum (9) at approach of measuring surfaces and non-rotating spindle (4), thin curved needle (5), which has a bent at 90° straight pointed tip (3), bent at right or any other angle to 90° rear end (6) and straight central section (5), wherein needle is fixed in holder (11) installed at same level with spindle on bracket (12) of micrometer adjusted so that at contact of end of spindle and surface bent needle tip, in absence of blood vessel between them, readings of micrometer are equal to zero.

EFFECT: technical result is determination of blood vessels of a person without noticeable injuries.
