FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electric cleaner comprises a body closed with covers at ends. Nozzles for supply of cleaned medium and its drainage are screwed into covers. Inside the body there are sections formed by corrugated electrodes imposed one onto another with observation of the required distance between electrodes. The shape of corrugations in the cross section may be rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, in the form of a semicircumference and any other. Corrugation of electrodes increases the area of their surface, as a result the number of mechanical particles increases in the cleaned medium, which are simultaneously under action of an electric field of electrodes. Each electrode and insulating partitions have one hole arranged closely to its edge. When assembling the electric cleaner, holes in adjacent electrodes and partitions are arranged diametrically oppositely, as a result the distance increases, which is travelled by particles of contaminants in a space between electrodes.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of dielectric media cleaning from mechanical admixtures.
