Invention involves receiving of information relating to the level of aggregation, for monitoring of an improved physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH); and monitoring of the search area concerning EPDCCH in accordance with a specific aggregation level for detecting downlink control information, wherein for a specific level of aggregation the number of EPDCCH versions for detecting downlink control information is determined in different ways in accordance with information relating to the level of aggregation.

EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of a method and device for receiving downlink control channel by user equipment in wireless communication system.
