FIELD: rocketry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to controlled homing missiles with an aerodynamic self-excited steering drive. Increase in accuracy of missiles putting into the zone of homing head acquisition of radiation from targets at long ranges, and, consequently, increase in probability of such targets destruction is achieved by using in the section anterior to the section of self-homing of the same control law, which is used during guidance of the missile on the final section of self-homing, where the method of proportional approach is used. In compliance with the method of putting a long-distance missile into the zone of target acquisition by the self-homing head including launch of the missile to the specified altitude and its further plaining on the target under the action of the supplied to the steering drive in the vertical control channel "up" command until acquisition of the target by the self-homing head, launching of a missile is performed along a ballistic trajectory with caged control surfaces; uncaging of control surfaces is performed with a time delay determined in advance out of the condition of reaching by the missile of the set altitude, while putting of the missile into the zone of target acquisition by the self-homing head is performed by proportional navigation after the missile reaches the programmed range to the target. Proposed system of a long-range missile guidance system includes, at the command post, a data designation reception unit, an air target designation system, a calculator, a survey control system, a video monitor, a radar station with phased antenna array, missile direction-finding channels, control commands transmission channels and a beam control unit, a synchronisation and coding unit, a unit of constants, a unit for calculating angular velocity of missile-target line and a unit for connection of control commands, a unit for calculating angular coordinates of missile-target line and a unit for connection of control commands, a unit for calculation of coordinates of missile-target line and the range between the missile and target, and, on the missile - homing head, a command switching centre, control hardware and self-oscillating steering drive, radio teller, receiving module, control command decoder, time delay unit and a unit for caging the steering drive control surfaces fixing the control surfaces in the position where the plane of control surfaces is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the missile.

EFFECT: increase in the range of firing long-range missiles.
